One of the main usage area of polypropylene fibres are removing the water trapped in the refractory safely and quickly during the first heating.
It is added to the refractory at a certain rate in the first preparation/mixing stage. They are disappeared at low temperatures by creating capillary channels, helping the vapour in the refractory to be removed quickly from the system through those channels.
By avoiding cracks and explosion, shorter sintering times become possible and the fastest way of using refractory is obtained.
